Not for Profit trainee - Year 3
Franki joined the firm after studying at Cambridge University, graduating with a degree in Mathematics.
She was awarded the Chris Reay Memorial Prize by the London Society of Chartered Accountants (LSCA). This is given to the candidate working for a firm of six partners or fewer in the LSCA area (this was prior to Gotham Erskine becoming the Not for Profit Team at MacIntyre Hudson) who achieves the highest annual marks in the Professional Stage Examination.
“I particularly applied to Gotham Erskine (now MacIntyre Hudson) not only because of the firm’s commitment to and expertise in the non-profit sector, but because I felt that working within a small team was ideal for training and offered opportunities for fast progression and more flexibility. I’ve been determined to work in the not-for-profit arena since I joined an international youth leadership programme as a teenager. After graduating from university I volunteered in small charities in the UK and abroad, and directed a summer youth programme. I soon realised that I wanted to offer more than enthusiasm and energy!
"Most of all I enjoy the direct contact with such a diverse group of organisations and people, knowing that we’re providing a valuable service. Our work is constantly throwing up new challenges, especially recently with so many non-profits facing tough decisions following cuts in local government funding.”
