Despite a background in Biochemical Engineering and after starting his working career in industry, Ricky ‘saw the light’ and joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson as a Chartered accountant trainee. After gaining his ACA working in Corporate tax, Ricky branched out and completed his CTA in personal tax. Ricky now advises owner managed businesses and their owners across all areas of direct tax and brings practical solutions to the table in an ever increasingly complex tax system.
Ricky is interested in R&D and Patent Box Taxes together with Capital Allowances on which he lectures and co authors a Practice Note for the Practical Law Company. He has led the MHA response to FATCA on both a local and national level.
As national Tax Director for MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Ricky runs training sessions, lectures and writes articles across the MHA network. Based in North London, he is involved in many local interests and uses his ‘spare’ time to act as a Governor in a local state school.
