Data Protection

02 June 2017

The government has confirmed that leaving the EU will not affect the commencement of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and there is now less than one year until the deadline (28 May 2018).

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) has published guidance to help your organisation comply with the coming reform, including an overview of the GDPR and a ‘getting ready for GDPR checklist’.

The ICO has this month also issued their “12 steps to take now” to help you prepare for the approaching deadline which can be found here.

We recommend utilising these resources to get ahead of the impending reform and to prepare yourselves and your staff for its implications.
