On choosing a new adviser

Gary Cox, Finance Director, Swiis International, shares their experience of choosing a new accountant/business adviser:

“MacIntyre Hudson was unanimously voted the winners [of the proposal process] because
we were so impressed with the way Chris [Sutton] and Victor [Dauppe] handled the presentation.

They really listened to the chairman, who owns the company and is passionate about the business. They spoke for only about five per cent of the time and even then, Victor managed to chip in with a few useful tax suggestions. This was noticeably different from some other firms we saw, who spoke for most of the time.

He continued “Since Maclntyre Hudson won our business we’ve continued to be impressed by the company’s responsiveness. Chris and Victor ring me to see if there is anything we need, they are proactive with ideas and information and recently introduced us to an interesting business opportunity. There is a sense of really being looked after.”
