Website survey highlights MacIntyre Hudson
MACINTYRE Hudson, with nine offices in the UK, come sixth in an independent website survey of 100 accountancy firms, scoring highly for usability (93%) and design (93%).
The survey was carried out by Intendance Limited, specialists in website consultancy, development and management, and the sample of 100 came from a list of members supplied by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
The sample did not include the top five firms, as it was considered fairer to compare like for like - smaller and medium-sized firms. Sole practitioners and very small firms were also excluded.
MacIntyre Hudson scored lower in the content category, probably because this element is still under development. Marketing manager Vicky Smith said: "We focused initially on our service lines, case studies and frequently asked questions (FAQs), all of which are recognised to be important in successful sites. We are delighted with this external recognition and had the survey been able to take account of the content we have in the pipeline, I feel sure the score would have been even higher."
She continued: "This is good news for the firm, and especially for clients and those seeking business advice. The site brings not only new inquiries, but is an important channel of communication and point of reference for clients, potential new recruits and professional contacts. The site went live in April this year and we are constantly updating the content to keep it fresh and exciting for all our users."
