MacIntyre Hudson supports global expertise
Businesses everywhere from Eastern Europe to Africa are benefiting from the expertise of MacIntyre Hudson, following recent international conferences. Tax specialists from MacIntyre Hudson traveled to the Greek capital, Athens, to address representatives of CPA Associates International (CPAAI) - a worldwide association of independent accounting firms. The conference – for CPA members from Europe, the Middle East and Africa - brought together around 70 professionals from as far afield as Portugal, Dubai and Burkina Faso. A major topic was tax – and on hand to share their knowledge were MacIntyre Hudson Tax Principal, Victor Dauppe; Tax Principal Andrew Snowdon, and VAT Director Alison Horner. MacIntyre Hudson Senior Training Manager Kathi Hambleton gave an extensive, and much appreciated, lecture on the implications of International Financial Reporting Standards. Presiding over the conference was MacIntyre Hudson Principal Howard Lewis - International Chairman of CPAAI Associates. In November, Howard flew to Las Vegas for the CPAAI North American regional conference. He said: “I have completed five conferences between May and October. The North American meeting was the largest, attracting 170 accountants – including members from other regions.” He added: "MacIntyre Hudson is the sole representative in CPAAI, and the membership brings benefits to clients by giving them access to a wealth of international expertise. These conferences build on our relationship with our international associates and allow us the opportunity to discuss in person the business and tax issues which are affecting our mutual and prospective clients. Our close relationship with associates in 72 countries demonstrates that we know how to deal with international business."
