MHA MacIntyre Hudson has appointed Edward Hooper as a director in its corporate finance team.

With more than 10 years’ industry experience, Ed will be responsible for leading the firm’s national transaction services offering, acting for small and medium-sized businesses both in the UK and overseas.

Edward has previously been involved in a number of private equity-backed management buy-ins and buy-outs. He has also worked closely with both corporate management and private equity clients on various buy-side and vendor-led due diligence assignments.

Robert Kidson, corporate finance partner in the firm’s City office, said:

We have established a highly skilled team with the expertise to advise on deals across various business sectors, and Ed’s technical knowledge and experience in transaction services make him a great asset to our team. Our corporate finance offering is an important and growing part of MHA MacIntyre Hudson, with an excellent reputation in the market place. Adding someone of Ed’s calibre underlines our commitment to delivering the highest quality of service in that area.”

Laurence Whitehead, partner and head of corporate finance, added:
