Budget 2011 response: Belgian bashing
Patrick King, Tax Principal, MacIntyre Hudson, was pleased to see few increases in the rates of duty on alcoholic drinks.
However, he said: "I am somewhat surprised at the apparent 'Belgian Bashing' due to the significant increase in duty for high strength beer. Surely Brussels will have something to say about this!"
