Energy saving deal for heating company
We are very pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Quake Energy Services (Quake) by our client, Johnson & Starley Limited (J&S). J&S, based in Northamptonshire, is a leading manufacturer of warm air heating, high efficiency condensing boilers and also provides energy-efficient domestic ventilation solutions. Quake, based in Worthing, is one of the largest specialist installers of home insulation, gas & oil central heating and solar hot water systems in the South East.
The deal was funded using J&S's strong balance and our combined team provided transaction support services. Resources were pulled from our corporate finance, tax and audit teams to provide the full range of transaction support required. Our team's track record and experience were paramount in us being able to provide the advice needed by J&S for them to take the deal forward successfully to completion. Howes Percival's Northampton office, as incumbent advisers, provided legal support to J&S. We are delighted with the outcome for all parties involved.
This acquisition is a strategic move for J&S, diversifying its offering both geographically and moving further into the installation sector. The deal also enables J&S to move into the renewable energy sector with a view to securing its long term future in the ever changing energy sector. We wish J&S every success with the integration of the two businesses and look forward to working with them further over the coming months and years.
