Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy normally lasts for 12 months, in which time you may be required to close your bank account; be unable to be a company director or hold public office; and declare your bankruptcy when seeking credit of £500 or over.

We advise on how to declare yourself bankrupt – after explaining the other options open to you, depending on your situation. We will also advise on your assets – you may have to sell your home (or that of your spouse) in order to pay your creditors.

We also accept appointments as trustees in bankruptcy cases (as nominated by creditors).
