Martin Ramsey

Partner

Martin joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2017 having spent 16 years working in the assurance team of a top 5 firm and having been in the profession for 27 years.  Martin deals with a mixed portfolio of clients but has particular sector specialisms in healthcare and professional practices. 

In addition to his audit and accounting work Martin has been involved in many other areas of advice such as in the areas of client money accounting and the related regulatory issues, mergers and acquisitions particularly in the professional’s space, funding, business structuring and incorporations, benchmarking and so on.

Martin’s preferred way of working is through face to face client relationships where he has the opportunity to really understand the clients business and offer support and advice based on both the personal and corporate aspirations of the client.

Outside of work Martin is married with three children who keep him busy.  He is also a keen cyclist and enjoys a day’s fly fishing when the weather is fair.

Nigel Morris

Employment Tax Director

Nigel was previously an HMRC Inspector and has worked in the Big 4 for 18 years before joining MHA MacIntyre Hudson in January 2017. His experience includes work on a range of employment tax matters for a range of major national and international businesses as well as SME and OMB businesses. This includes work primarily in the Automotive, Hospitality & Leisure, Logistics and Construction sectors.

Nigel has aided clients in managing employment tax risk and mitigating HMRC settlements, as well as spending a considerable amount of time designing, implementing and communicating arrangements to reduce employment tax cost. He has worked on a large number of car consulting projects, including the development and design of bespoke arrangements for clients, including ECOS, Salary sacrifice and Hybrid fleet arrangements. He is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

Nigel spends his free time coaching junior female football, running his 3 children to after school activities. When he gets the chance, he likes to get out on his mountain bike and explore the ‘hidden’ trails in the local Wyre Forest.

Stuart Haines

Senior Audit & Assurance Manager

Stuart is a qualified chartered accountant with almost thirty years experience in accounting and auditing, having worked at Bloomer Heaven in Birmingham for nearly twenty-eight years before the merger with MHA MacIntyre Hudson in the summer of 2015.

He has worked with companies in a wide variety of sectors, including property construction and development, manufacturing and retail, to name a few. He also has considerable experience in auditing UK subsidiaries of international groups.

Outside of work he enjoys travelling.

Matthew Morris

Personal Tax Manager

Prior to joining MHA MacIntyre Hudson in July 2015, Matthew worked for Bloomer Heaven Ltd for 3 years and Farmiloes LLP, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.  He has many years of experience within the profession and has acquired a depth of knowledge of Midland businesses across a broad range of industry types.   Matthew specialises in tax for owner- managed businesses and high net worth individuals.  Matthew’s wealth of knowledge and experience can ensure that clients get proactive high level tax advice tailored to fit their specific needs.

Matthew is married with 2 young boys, and enjoys spending as much of his spare time outdoors.   Matthew is keen racing cyclist and enjoys competing in road and circuit races
