Toby joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in August 2017. For over 25 years, Toby has specialised in working with and advising growing entrepreneurial, family and PE backed companies, International groups, and  UK subsidiaries of International parents. He has worked with clients in a diverse range of industries but has specific sector expertise in hotels, leisure and gaming, manufacturing, wholesale & distribution, and the service industry sectors.

Toby is a responsible individual for audit purposes, and has built up a reputation for providing clients with pragmatic advise not only on financial reporting matters but also on strategic business planning matters including raising finance, growth through acquisition, exit planning and business restructuring.

Away from work Toby is a mad keen Worcester Warriors rugby fan and can be found in the South Stand at Sixways at all home games, or blatting around the Worcestershire countryside in “Delilah” his Caterham Super 7 sports car.

James Roe

Audit & Accounts Manager

James qualified as a chartered accountant in an independent, local five partner practice in 2002.  He now manages a mixed portfolio of specialist and commercial clients at our Birmingham office.

James has a number of clients in regulated areas of business, namely professional practices and travel, and appreciates the challenges regulations can create. His portfolio also includes a significant property group with a numerous of LLPs and limited companies, a hotel group and medium sized groups and companies requiring audits, together with small corporate and unincorporated clients seeking advice and support on year end accounts and tax compliance.

James serves on the Birmingham office Technical Committee, and is keen to keep up to date on developments within the industry. He is also a key team member in the running and training of the firm’s audit and accounts software.

Helen Blundell

Director

Helen joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in July 2015 following the merger with Birmingham based MHA Bloomer Heaven.  She has more than twenty years experience in the Not for Profit sector, including charities, academies, schools and other not for profit bodies and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting as well as a post graduate certificate in Charity Accounting and Financial Management. 

Helen works across our Birmingham and Leicester offices and acts as engagement principal on audit and independent examination assignments as well as advising on special assignments across a range of issues.  Helen is also involved in delivering training on a regular basis for clients and staff but also for bodies such as Charity Finance Group serving the not for profit sector.

Helen has extensive experience in advising charities across a range of issues and served as a trustee of Birmingham Cathedral for more than six years. She has had experience of auditing grants made to aid agencies on behalf of the European Commission and has held an appointment as an Interim Manager appointed by the Charity Commission. She is passionate about delivering advisory support to the sector to help them fulfil their charitable objectives.

Jacqui Tyler

Senior Personal Tax Manager

Jacqui joined the firm from the then Inland Revenue in 1988 as a Tax Senior. From that date she has gained experience in dealing with all aspects of personal taxation and is now a Senior Manager who is responsible for her own portfolio of clients as well as overseeing the personal tax team in the Birmingham Office. 

With over 30 years’ experience in the profession Jacqui has gained a considerable knowledge in dealing with Private Client matters, including Inheritance Tax, Trust and Probate. Jacqui’s client base is varied ranging from High Net worth individuals, members of medical and legal partnerships to sole traders.         

Outside the office Jacqui spends her time planning and enjoying holidays, being either leisurely beach holidays or busy breaks exploring the cities of the World.
