Rob joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2006 on the school leaver programme, gaining his AAT qualification before becoming a qualified chartered accountant in 2010. His main area of expertise is in statutory audits and accounts although he also have extensive experience in leading due diligence and forensic accounting projects.
Rob has built up a good rapport with his clients and prides himself on maintaining long standing relationships. He has worked with many of his clients for several years.
Rob works closely with Steve Freeman and leads our motor audits acting for several dealers across the country.

Elaine has more than 35 years experience in the accountancy profession latterly as owner of Shoesmiths Chartered Accountants prior to joining Macintyre Hudson LLP as a full partner following its merger in April 2016.
Elaine specialises in accounts, audit and advisory services for corporate owner managed businesses and foreign subsidiaries. Elaine has worked with a wide variety of businesses over her career including manufacturing, engineering, IT and renewables.
Elaine qualified initially with Robson Rhodes in Birmingham and then joined their London office. After which a spell as a management accountant for an international logistics company gave her the necessary experience and background to then set up Shoesmiths Chartered Accountants which she ran successfully for 25 years . Clients ranged from high tech start ups to growing established SMEs.
Her experience and knowledge has enabled her to provide advice on more specialised areas including taxation across all sectors , taxation lead restructuring, management buy-outs , inheritance tax and succession planning. Gavin joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in June 2018 and is the Partner who leads our Technology Advisory Services practice. He joined the firm from BDO LLP where he led the technology consultancy practice for more than five years. Gavin has more than 35 years of experience in the IT industry and, besides running his own IT consultancy business for ten years, has worked for some of the worlds largest IT companies including; Fujitsu, Dell, Capita, Ricoh and Atos.
As well as a formal training in Electronic Engineering, Gavin holds several industry qualifications including; MCSE, PRINCE2, ITIL and CISM. In previous roles Gavin has developed global IT consulting methodologies, delivered (and recovered) several large high-profile IT projects as well as managing large teams of consultants, engineers and project managers.
Technology Advisory Services provides a range of services to support business in the mid-market. In these businesses it is not uncommon to find the Finance Director (or other senior board member) responsible for IT. Gavin calls them “The Quasi IT Director” ® and typically they become reliant on junior IT staff or third-party IT support companies for strategic advice, which may not always be in the best interest of the company.

Sarah’s strength lies in helping ambitious, owner-managers to reach their goals. The commercial world plays a major role in Sarah’s life but being married to a farmer and living on a mixed farm, has afforded her the opportunity to understand and appreciate the agricultural sector at first hand.
