Tax is a world full of scary acronyms, and even scarier penalties for non-compliance. Whatever the stage of your business, whatever your P&L says, MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s experts can give your tax needs the attention they deserve.
Here’s how we work:
We find the best accountant / business relationships are ones that have two sides. That’s why we get to know your business intimately, why we regularly catch up with you. We work with you to set goals and review your business strategy often. And then, when it comes to tax time, or HMRC comes to investigate, or Brexit looms, we know exactly how to help you. We’ll investigate, we’ll present you with the options, and then help you make the decision that’s in your best interest.
Your MHA MacIntyre Hudson partner is an expert in your industry, and makes it their business to know what’s on the horizon, what’s changing – and what you could take advantage of. Maybe it’s the Construction Industry Scheme or an R&D Tax Credit; maybe it’s setting up a trust or an SPV. Whatever it might be, our experts are all over it, and they’re talking with you about making your tax planning more efficient and effective.
As your business partner, we want to work with you from seed to growth, all the way to exit and planning your next phase. Our tax planners can help you get from A to B to Z in a way that’s compliant with regulation, and that’s efficient on tax.
Let’s say we’ve helped your business grow from seed to thriving operation, but you’re ready to start something new. We will investigate the options open to you, and help you to choose what works for your goals – goals we helped you to set.
Once we’ve found a buyer and helped you to exit the business in the most tax efficient way possible, we’ll be here when you’re ready for your next adventure. And if that adventure takes you overseas, we’ll introduce you to our partners at Baker Tilly International; we’re part of their network, and we think the same way.
So pick up the phone or get in touch, and let’s talk about how we can partner on your tax planning needs.Enquire now

Glen is an experienced tax professional and has been providing his clients with a broad range of advisory services for 20 years. He has advised on clients of all sizes from owner managed businesses to international groups. His expertise centres on corporation tax and all matters that affect entrepreneurial owner managed businesses. He also advises on issues concerning tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Glen also advises non domiciled individuals with regard to their UK tax affairs and regularly provides advice to non UK resident trusts concerning the UK tax implications of providing benefits to UK resident beneficiaries as well as holding UK assets. Much of this work has involved planning to remove residential property from corporate structures after the introduction of the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED).
His sector specialisms include property, manufacturing and technology, and retail. He is of the view that most companies are missing the opportunity to claim the enhanced tax reliefs available for Research and Development activities without even knowing it.

My favourite benefit of working with MHA MacIntyre Hudson is having access to a huge network of knowledge but still having the direct personal feel when dealing with the local office team. Callum Bates -
