Transparency Reports

We are required by EU and UK law (as the auditor of Public Interest Entities) to publish an annual Transparency Report that includes details of our legal structure and ownership, governance structure, internal quality control systems and quality assurance and independence practices.

Our Transparency Report is a good opportunity for us to provide relevant, reliable, and useful information to the users of financial information and communicate a balanced self-assessment of the challenges we face in relation to audit quality and the effectiveness of our actions to overcome them.

The intended users of this Transparency Report are expected to be investors and Audit Committee Chairs and members.

Cara is a qualified accountant with over 20 years experience and a Gold Medal winner for the ACCA Examinations achieving the highest exam results in the world for the professional stage exams.

Cara has a corporate portfolio providing compliance services to a broad range of owner managed businesses and groups which span across many sectors including retail, construction and motor.

In addition to her corporate client portfolio, Cara specialises in working with the Not for Profit sector including local and national Charities, Independent Schools, Academies and community interest companies, supplying audit, assurance, governance and taxation advisory services to local and national organisations.

Audit is meant to be so much more than a number crunching exercise and Cara strives to ensure that the audit process is adding value through a risk-based approach with open communication and feedback.

Cara’s client base extends across East Anglia, where she has a strong reputation for providing excellent hands on service to local businesses and charities. She was crowned the East Anglian Daily Times - Young Business Person of the Year in 2013.

Rich Hall

Head of Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility & Climate Change

Rich joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in September 2020 to lead our Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Climate Change work.

A former ‘big four’ Risk Assurance Director, Rich started, built and led their Northern Sustainability Practice and was ultimately responsible for their Performance Assurance line of service.

Drawing on over 30 years cross sector, multi discipline experience. Rich brings over 15 years’ experience and passion of leading successful Sustainability and risk engagements. He has worked and led teams both internationally and within the UK, working with some of the largest and most complex businesses across their global footprints.

Rich has led major sustainability engagements from idea generation and inception through to successful implementation across advisory, reporting and assurance and internal audit.

Rich has a genuine passion for business and enjoys working on excellence in client service, building and developing high performing teams, mentoring and innovation.

Having led teams in the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia and America he places a high value on embracing cultures and diversity and supporting responsible and purposeful business.

In addition to his Sustainability expertise Rich has engagement leader experience and expertise across Third Party Assurance, Contract Assurance, and complex risk management across strategy, operations, and supply chain.

Nigel Morris

Employment Tax Director

Nigel was previously an HMRC Inspector and has worked in the Big 4 for 18 years before joining MHA MacIntyre Hudson in January 2017. His experience includes work on a range of employment tax matters for a range of major national and international businesses as well as SME and OMB businesses. This includes work primarily in the Automotive, Hospitality & Leisure, Logistics and Construction sectors.

Nigel has aided clients in managing employment tax risk and mitigating HMRC settlements, as well as spending a considerable amount of time designing, implementing and communicating arrangements to reduce employment tax cost. He has worked on a large number of car consulting projects, including the development and design of bespoke arrangements for clients, including ECOS, Salary sacrifice and Hybrid fleet arrangements. He is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
