Transparency Reports

The annual Transparency Report includes details of our legal structure and ownership, governance structure, internal quality control and quality assurance and independence practices.

Our Transparency Report is a good opportunity for us to provide relevant, reliable, and useful information to the users of financial information and communicate a balanced self-assessment of the challenges we face in relation to audit quality and the effectiveness of our actions to overcome them.

The intended users of this Transparency Report are expected to be investors and Audit Committee Chairs and members.

Claire Underhill

Business Services Manager

Claire joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in December 2018 following a merger of her previous firm, which was a Kent based practice of a top 15 firm of accountants.

She has over 20 years’ experience within the accounting industry, predominately working with SMEs. Claire has joined the firm as a Business Service Manager assisting clients with the preparation and review of Financial Statements, Corporation Tax, VAT and payroll.

Additionally, Claire has helped setup and implement internal systems to assist in the financial processes and the overall internal functions of the business to improve efficiency, both within her own firm and on behalf of clients.

In her spare time Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a member of her local netball team.

Grant Gleghorn

Partner

Grant provides business advisory support to a diverse portfolio including owner managed businesses of all sizes. Grant is passionate about delivering a quality service coupled with excellent business advice and compliance.

He has deep understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs) and industry regulations, has achieved the Law Society's Lexcel Consultant Status and is a member of the ICAEW's Solicitors Group.

Specialising in corporate restructuring, his client portfolio, which is one of the largest in the firm, continues to grow as a result of client recommendations.

As a golf, football and motor sports enthusiast, Grant enjoys watching the good guys win.

Holtjana Bello

Manager

Holtjana joined Macintyre Hudson in April 2020 as a manager in the Internal Audit Department. She manages a portfolio of 40 clients, of those 70% are academies, colleges and trusts.

Holtjana Bello holds a Chartered Internal Audit qualification from the Institute of Internal Auditors UK and Ireland (CMIIA). Holtjana has a PhD in Economic Sciences and she has mastered her skills in Birmingham City University for Audit Management and Consultancy.  She is a good governance practitioner with 15 years of experience in Risk and Assurance Consultancy, Corporate Governance assessment, and Value for Money auditing.  She is experienced in working with private sector, local and central government, international donor community, and local and regional non-governmental actors. Holtjana has been engaged to conduct performance auditing including Value for Money audit of programs and projects financed by different donors in Europe such as EU Delegation, Council of Europe, Swiss Cooperation Office, USAID, UN agencies. During the last 10 years Holtjana has been Lecturer in University lecturing Audit Management Module. She has strong interpersonal skills, and she is able to communicate effectively at all organisational levels and to build relationships of trust while working in multi-cultural environment.

Gareth Peters

Gareth tends to work on the firm's larger and more complex clients. Based in the Milton Keynes office he became Tax Partner in 2016 after 12 years with the firm. As both a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Gareth covers a wide spectrum of tax issues, both corporate and personal.  Concentrating on owner-managed businesses, his expertise covers corporate tax, mergers & demergers, acquisitions & MBOs, exit & remuneration planning, as well as advising individual clients on more bespoke tax planning strategies.

Gareth is also one of the firm’s R&D tax credit specialists and has advised companies across many sectors including Manufacturing, Engineering, I.T. and Medical Research on how to maximise their claims. He is also works with the National Head of Motor, Steve Freeman, as Tax Partner for the firms Motor sector.
