Our London office is based in Blackfriars, in the heart of the city and less than a five-minute walk from the spectacular St Paul’s Cathedral.  Surrounded by a choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants, this central location offers extensive opportunities to network and develop skills at events and courses regularly held by professional bodies.

Manager

Heather specialises in the accounts and audits of clients in the not for profit sector, including charities, academies and schools.  She enjoys the challenges of advising on a range of issues for diverse charity clients and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.

Heather is involved in the audit work of various clients as well in advisory services and technical support to both internal and external clients.

In her spare time she is involved as a trustee of various charities and is an active member of her local church.

Partner

Chris graduated from the London School of Economics and trained as an accountant with the NHS. He spent three years in Cairo as the volunteer finance director of a media organisation. Since returning to the UK in 1995 he has specialised in the charity sector, working for the Shaftesbury Society, Action for Blind People and CIPFA.

He has over twenty five years’ experience in not-for-profit and public services including ten at Director level. His primary achievements have been through implementing strategic change, providing coherence and balance to senior teams, and ensuring that resources are applied appropriately to the objectives of the organisation. He has a masters degree in charity finance and a strong interest in professional development, founding the CIPFA Charity Panel and the CIPFA Certificate in Charity Finance at London South Bank University.

Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 before moving to Deloitte Haskins and Sells.

He joined MacIntyre Hudson as a Partner in January 2009, having previously held the role of Managing Partner at a well known specialist corporate recovery firm.

Paul focuses on both corporate and personal insolvency work, and has carried out many solvent liquidations, including financial and monitoring, pre-lending, general business and solvency reviews of a wide range of businesses. He promotes turnaround and business rescue, and advises on the sale of businesses.

His specialisms include: construction, manufacturing, retail, leisure, engineering, professional services, health, asset tracing, travel and tourism and property.

Paul Davis is licensed to act as an insolvency practitioner in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
