Our London office is based in Barbican, in the heart of the city and less than a five-minute walk from the spectacular St Paul’s Cathedral.  Surrounded by a choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants, this central location offers extensive opportunities to network and develop skills at events and courses regularly held by professional bodies.

Neil Parsons

Director – Head of Financial Reporting Advisory and Company Law

Neil joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson on 6 April 2020 as the Director and Head of Financial Reporting Advisory and Company Law and is responsible for client facing financial reporting project work and company law matters related to all forms of company reporting. Neil helps clients of all sizes (including large listed companies) cut through the complexities of financial reporting so as to provide technically and commercially solutions which are understandable. His solutions are delivered through simple advice, training, detailed project implementation or via expert written reports.

In a technical capacity Neil also works alongside the technical department advising on the financial reporting of Public Interest Entities and AIM listed companies. Further, Neil works closely with Baker Tilly International on matters relevant to the application of IFRS. Neil participates in various external working groups including ICAEW Company Law Panel of Experts and the ICAEW/ICAS Distributable Reserves Working Group. Neil has written guidance and articles on many topics including lease accounting, supplier payment practices and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on financial reporting and company law. Neil has a degree in Mathematical Physics obtained at University of Manchester (UMIST) and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Robin Stevens

Senior Advisor and Head of Capital Markets

Robin is a Chartered Accountant and joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson as a Special Adviser and Head of Capital Markets in July 2021.

Robin has had an extensive career in corporate finance, including corporate advisory and reporting assignments on public markets, raising capital, management buyouts, capital reconstructions, and investor-ready planning for companies operating in a wide range of sectors. He has also advised on numerous acquisitions and disposals by public and private companies as well as IPOs and secondary offerings in the UK and overseas. He has specific experience in advising emerging international companies, particularly those operating in Asia Pacific. Robin retains a strong international connection with clients, fellow professionals, regulators and business introducers and regularly speaks on corporate finance and capital markets issues to international business audiences.

Formerly Robin was  a corporate finance partner, Head of Capital Markets and then a Senior Adviser to Crowe UK LLP, having previously held senior corporate finance and audit partner positions with Mazars LLP and MRI Moores Rowland LLP. He is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of AIM listed Vector Capital Plc and a member of the Executive Committee of the British Malaysian Society.

Steven Illes

Partner/Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Steven joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in February 2022 as a Partner within Restructuring & Recovery. His previous experience included dealing with high profile personal insolvency matters, fraud, Proceeds of Crime Act and Drug Trafficking Act Receiverships. Sectors of experience include Financial Services, Local authorities, Utilities and the Charity sector. 

More recently Steve as liquidator of a group of companies has obtained freezing injunctions against directors and 3rd parties to prevent the further dissipation of assets whilst seeking to recover £6m of VAT fraud. 

Steve has acted for a number of financial institutions and local authorities to provide recovery advice and continues to act as Trustee in Bankruptcy on a number of contentious bankruptcy cases, including the management of property portfolios.

Eoin Chawke

Senior Manager

Eoin is a qualified Accountant and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Eoin has a depth of experience in auditing investment funds since 2011, and is a specialist in International and US, accounting and auditing standards.

Eoin heads up our team based in London and his principal experience has been managing a diverse base of client structures with a wide range of financial instruments, including private equity, debt, credit instruments and derivatives. Eoin has also been heavily involved in building out our digital assets offering, with specific focus on cryptocurrencies. 

Eoin manages audit teams to meet client deadlines and to maintain audit quality. He is experienced in co-ordinating complex assignments involving the need to gather information from various service providers and serves as a main point of contact for many key relationships.
