Life at the Milton Keynes office

 

As one of the country’s newest towns, Milton Keynes has fast become one of the most thriving places in South East England. Our office in the centre is within walking distance to the many restaurants, bars, and attractions which have made Milton Keynes a destination. Less than a 5-minute amble away is the Centre MK shopping mall, boasting nearly 200 stores from luxury brands to major high-street names and everything in-between. We’re not just roundabouts and concrete cows, our theatre is the stage for shows straight from the West End and our green spaces hold festivals, carnivals, and out-door events throughout the year. The surrounding market towns and villages are well worth a visit, offering a wealth of traditional boutique and independent shops amidst charming, historic architecture and lush countryside.

With around 70 members of staff including five partners, our office upholds a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. The open plan layout across one floor enables active communication and encourages teamwork within and across departments. We understand that success is a team effort and so everyone is approachable and ready to support their colleagues, making it easy to ask questions and ultimately progress. Managers continuously collaborate with team members to ensure that everyone realises their full potential. Alastair Cassels

Partner – Head of Automotive Advisory

Alastair is Head of Automotive Advisory specialising in providing guidance for OEMs, Retailers and  industry new entrants in the rapidly changing UK Automotive landscape. He has an extensive knowledge of vehicle distribution and insight into how it will evolve.

Alastair joined MHA in April 2022 after many years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, sales and Network Development with Volkswagen Group, PSA and General Motors. His focus areas are supporting change in vehicle distribution through expertise in franchising, M&A, property, Electric Vehicle infrastructure, CO2 reduction and future business planning.

Steve Moore

Partner

Steve's background is in both industry and accountancy - he returned to the profession because it offered him more variety. When appointed in 1989, he was one of the firm's youngest ever Partners.

He specialises in advising owners and senior executives on strategic matters, corporate structures and tax planning. Steve believes that it is people who matter the most, both the people we employ and develop as well as our clients who we build long term business relationships with. He enjoys building and leading teams where client service is at the heart of everything we do.

Steve's specialisms include activity for professional practices and he is a member of the firm's Board with specific responsibilities for finance.

His hobbies include cycling and football.

Kate Kipping

Accounts Manager

Kate qualified with MHA MacIntyre Hudson completing her Business Management degree. During her studies with the firm Kate achieved the ICAEW Railton prize for international first place in Business Strategy. Kate now works closely with Andrew Moyser specialising in accounts mostly with a focus on owner managed businesses of varying sizes as well as sole traders and partnerships, dealing with all compliance matters whilst looking to identify any opportunities and develop these as well as assisting with projects.

Andrew Dennison

Audit and Accounts Manager

Since qualifying with MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2007, Andrew has been kept busy with a wide variety of assignments which has resulted in a breadth of knowledge and experience in helping businesses deal with compliance work, management reporting, internal accounting systems and much more.  As a result, Andrew’s specialist areas range from Solicitor’s Accounts Rules audits to being a certified Xero adviser.
