James joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2006 and has obtained both his AAT and ACA qualifications with the firm. He is based in MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s Chelmsford office.
He works closely with many Not for Profit entities, including Charities and Academies, providing them with a range of business services, including Independent Examinations, accounts preparation and compliance returns.
James is a recognised financial reporting specialist in the Sector with a strong understanding of both the Charities SORP and the Academies Accounts Direction. Drawing from this experience he built the internal accounts production toolkits the firm uses to produce Charity and Academy financial statements. He has also advised on updates to external Charity and Academy accounts production toolkits and regularly consults with the ESFA on varying compliance matters, including taking part in user testing of new online systems.
James considers himself to be a problem solver and genuinely enjoys finding answers to complicated accounting issues. He prides himself on delivering practical, timely and accurate advice to his clients in a language and manner they can understand.
Outside of work James enjoys spending time with his family and trying to cook them a decent meal.
