Peterborough’s population grew rapidly following the arrival of the railways in the 19th century, and it became an industrial centre particularly noted for its brick manufacture. Growth, however, was limited post-war until its designation as a New Town in the 1960s. Today, housing and population are expanding, and a £1bn regeneration of the city centre and surrounding area is underway, fuelling an economic boom. Peterborough has a strong economy in the environmental goods and services sector, and has the largest cluster of environmental businesses in the UK. It’s working to become the UK’s acknowledged environment capital.

Our offices in Peterborough and Bedford, which make up the Eastern region of MHA MacIntyre Hudson, work in close partnership to offer our clients greater expertise and a larger range of geographical coverage. The firm’s national agriculture and rural business sector is led from the Peterborough office which is an ideal location to serve this important business group.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson is a top 20 UK firm of accountants with an office in Peterborough, offering a full range of compliance services and business advice to owner-managed businesses, multinationals and high net worth individuals in the Peterborough, Stamford, Huntingdon and Fenland Areas.
