David is a Director in the MHA MacIntyre Hudson financial services team responsible for audit opinions and specialising in audit and assurance services to investment businesses.
David has over 24 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant. Having qualified with EY in 1992, he left to work in finance roles at FCA regulated businesses, but re-joined the auditing profession in 2001 as a senior manager in EY’s Banking and Capital Markets Group. In 2007 he took up a role as head of financial control at a leading London metals broker and then in 2011 joined the audit division of a boutique firm. That audit division was acquired by MHA MacIntrye Hudson in November 2016.
In addition to statutory audit, David leads teams on internal control and client assets engagements.
David is a keen golfer and has completed the London Marathon on three occasions.
In December 2017, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) concluded their triennial review of UK GAAP by publishing amendments to FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
