MHA MacIntyre Hudson and MHA Bloomer Heaven announce merger
We are pleased to announce that we have merged with Birmingham based accountancy firm MHA Bloomer Heaven. The merger has been formally announced today and from this day forward MHA Bloomer Heaven will be known as MHA MacIntyre Hudson.
Since 2011, MHA Bloomer Heaven have been members of MHA, an association of independent accountancy firms located around the UK, and in 2014 Bloomer Heaven re-branded to include MHA in its name.
Both firms have an aligned ethos and proactively pursue plans for significant growth, both in their respective client bases and the range of services they provide. This announcement should come as no surprise as the next step and will bolster MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s national presence and reinforce our commitment to delivering service excellence in both the short and long term.
MHA Bloomer Heaven will remain at their home in Edmund Street in the heart of the Colmore Business District. They will continue to focus on building their reputation within the owner manager and SME’s sector particularly in manufacturing, property and not for profit. This merger will now enable the business to have the scale and resources to significantly build on its client portfolio. The merger will not impact on the current operations of MHA Bloomer Heaven, all four directors will remain in post and the Birmingham office will continue to be their base of operations.
MHA Bloomer Heaven Managing Director, Chris Barlow, said;
“This is a very exciting and important development in the history of our firm. In recent years we have continued to build both on the range of services to our clients and the way in which we deliver them. This merger with MHA MacIntyre Hudson now means we are able to offer an even greater breadth of services, expertise and knowledge which we believe will further support the wide range of businesses we work with.
Since joining MHA we have worked very closely with our colleagues at MHA MacIntyre Hudson. As a result of that relationship it has become evident that the two businesses enjoy a shared set of values. There exists a synergy between both firms in terms of our approach to providing a first class client service and our vision for future growth and development.
This is a pivotal time for the West Midlands. As the region continues to move forward there is increased potential to be gained from a more coherent and collaborative approach. Now more than ever there is the prospect for major growth across manufacturing and other key sectors in line with the region’s economic opportunities and infrastructure improvements. We want to ensure that we are in a position to take advantage of those opportunities for our own business but more importantly for our clients - this merger will undoubtedly support that.
To now be an integral part of a top 20 accountancy firm will, we believe, significantly support our ambitions for growth.”
Speaking on the merger, MHA MacIntyre Hudson Chairman Rakesh Shaunak said:
“Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region is an exciting marketplace for us. There are many significant regional developments taking place, not least the growth potential across many sectors of business. We have enjoyed a very successful relationship with MHA Bloomer Heaven in recent years and our two businesses are the perfect fit. It was an obvious development for us to formalise our relationship with them with this merger. The combination of MHA Bloomer Heaven’s reputation, presence and potential in the West Midlands, coupled with our national and international experience, expertise and resource will allow us to truly expand both firms’ services into the region. We are delighted that MHA Bloomer Heaven is joining the MHA MacIntyre Hudson community.”
This announcement comes as part of a pattern of continued growth for MHA MacIntyre Hudson. Just last month we announced our merger with Kent firm Spain Brothers, an established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Folkestone.
