In its continued response to the invasion of the Ukraine, the UK has initiated additional duties on a number of goods originating in Russia and Belarus came into force as legislated under the Customs (Additional Duty) (Russia and Belarus) Regulations 2022 on the 25th March 2022.
A 35% tariff is now applicable on goods originating from Russia and Belarus for the Tariff Headings detailed in the below table. If you import, or receive goods that are of Russia or Belarus origin and would like to discuss these new measures, please contact our Indirect Tax Team who will be able to advise you.
