Plenty of talk about migration to SaaS, software as a service. But Marc Sollars would prefer the conversation to be about NaaS, network as a service. “The network world is probably one of the last to be touched by the ‘as a service’ model, says the Chief Technology Officer of Teneo, “but there is increasing interest in it as companies see their own network requirements completely changing because of the cloud, mobile working and better internet access at home.”

As with SaaS, network as a service means that the purchase comes from an operational budget instead of a company having to fund procurement from capital expenditure. “Right now the NaaS model appeals to companies which are more leading edge and early adopters, adds Lauren Fortune, Teneo’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Teneo have pushed themselves ahead of this particular curve.
