Meet the team

Glen Thomas

Partner

Glen is an experienced tax professional and has been providing his clients with a broad range of advisory services for 20 years. He has advised on clients of all sizes from owner managed businesses to international groups. His expertise centres on corporation tax and all matters that affect entrepreneurial owner managed businesses.  He also advises on issues concerning tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Glen also advises non domiciled individuals with regard to their UK tax affairs and regularly provides advice to non UK resident trusts concerning the UK tax implications of providing benefits to UK resident beneficiaries as well as holding UK assets.  Much of this work has involved planning to remove residential property from corporate structures after the introduction of the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED).

His sector specialisms include property, manufacturing and technology, and retail.  He is of the view that most companies are missing the opportunity to claim the enhanced tax reliefs available for Research and Development activities without even knowing it.

Outside of work Glen enjoys spending time with his 2 boys who are beginning to share his enjoyment of sport.

Victoria Brown

Audit Manager

Victoria joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson Milton Keynes office in 2008 on the school leaver programme, gaining her AAT qualification before becoming a qualified chartered accountant in 2012. Victoria spent 10 months on secondment as Finance Manager at a local solicitor and now works alongside the team at the Bedford office, working with corporate entities across a broad range of industries including manufacturing, construction and professional services.


Victoria prides herself in building good relationships with her clients whilst providing the highest quality of audit assurance.

In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Sarah Donnelly

Audit & Accounts Manager

Sarah joined the Bedford office in 2011 as part of the school leaver programme.  Since joining, Sarah has gained her AAT and ACCA qualifications and was promoted to manager in October 2019
 
During her time at MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Sarah has worked on a variety of assignments and sectors. In addition to statutory audit and accounts, Sarah has worked with many companies supporting, and often running the finance function. Client projects include, streamlining and improving monthly management reporting, acting as quasi-financial controller, and advising and  implementing new financial software and cloud accounting packages. 
 
Sarah acts for numerous clients in both the corporate and not-for-profit entities assisting with their business needs.

Andrew Leal

Partner

Andrew joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in April 2019 following the merger with Kent based accountancy practice Percy Gore & Co, where he had been a partner since 1990. Andrew has a has a diverse portfolio in the healthcare sector comprising a range of GP Practices, Locum GP’s, GP Federations, Dentists, Hospital Consultants and other healthcare professionals.

Andrew regularly lectures and runs seminars on Primary Care finance.

Outside of work, Andrew is actively involved with his local church and enjoys running and sailing.
