Sector-based knowledge

MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s specialty is in-depth knowledge of multiple sectors; we provide a business services solution specifically designed for each sector. We ensure our reporting is not just numbers but a reflection of your performance in line with your sector.

Finance director services

We can provide an overview of the management and financial reporting; high level assistance with your budgetary and forecast requirements; and give presentations at Board and Annual Meetings. Think of it as an outsourced CFO.

Accounting records

We can update your records wherever it suits you best: 

  • At your offices, at regular intervals.
  • At our offices, using our in-house accounting software.
  • Via remote access into your in-house systems.

VAT and other tax-related reporting

We help prepare VAT and related reporting, inclusive of Intrastat and across the European Union. We provide a fully-managed indirect tax option, liaising with our colleagues (and providing you with a single point of contact) across the EU to ensure that all your obligations are met.

Our review of VAT compliance is designed to identify possible registration requirements across the EU.

Financial management and reporting

  • We can initiate payments via your online banking facility; our client bank management team is separate to the outsource team to ensure that the payments are secure, timely and in line with your approval.
  • We can help prepare your statutory financial statements, and provide support through external inspection or audit - all part of our overall service, not an added extra.
  • Technological advances such as cloud-based accounting are at the heart of our outsourcing solutions.
  • We aim to ensure you have convenient access to your accounting records and reporting through our own apps.

Marissa Lebeau

Accounts Director

Marissa has a wealth of experience across the sectors but for many years has had many clients in farming, owners of land and trusts. She enjoys engaging with clients discussing family matters, offering guidance and support and along with her tax colleagues advising on tax structures for now and in the future.

Dealing with owner managed businesses is a firm favourite of Marissa’s, looking at family involvement, compliance, raising value and succession planning.

Shelley Harvey

Director

Shelley joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2019 as a Director in the Leicester office. With almost 20 years’ experience in practice, Shelley has worked with many different sized businesses and sectors.

Her current portfolio ranges from smaller owner managed businesses through to larger corporate entities. Shelley prides herself on having regular contact with my clients, proactively advising on a range of issues.

Prior to working in practice Shelley spent some years within an accounts team for a manufacturing business. She feels that this gives her a ‘user perspective’ on the both the audit and accounts services, allowing her to deliver as effectively as possible.

Claire Underhill

Business Services Manager

Claire joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in December 2018 following a merger of her previous firm, which was a Kent based practice of a top 15 firm of accountants.

She has over 20 years’ experience within the accounting industry, predominately working with SMEs. Claire has joined the firm as a Business Service Manager assisting clients with the preparation and review of Financial Statements, Corporation Tax, VAT and payroll.

Additionally, Claire has helped setup and implement internal systems to assist in the financial processes and the overall internal functions of the business to improve efficiency, both within her own firm and on behalf of clients.

In her spare time Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a member of her local netball team.
