Director

Shelley joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2019 as a Director in the Leicester office. With almost 20 years’ experience in practice, Shelley has worked with many different sized businesses and sectors.

Her current portfolio ranges from smaller owner managed businesses through to larger corporate entities. Shelley prides herself on having regular contact with my clients, proactively advising on a range of issues.

Prior to working in practice Shelley spent some years within an accounts team for a manufacturing business. She feels that this gives her a ‘user perspective’ on the both the audit and accounts services, allowing her to deliver as effectively as possible.

Glyn Edwards

VAT Director

Glyn is a VAT Director based at our Leicester and Birmingham offices. Glyn’s VAT career started with H.M.Customs and Excise in 1989 and he spent seven years in the Department before moving to consultancy.

His specialisms include land & property; the not-for-profit sector, health and agriculture. He is also a part of MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s market leading motor team. He is passionate about making  VAT understandable to clients and always aims to seek solutions which work for a business as well as being compliant with the complexities of VAT regulations.

Glyn has an enviable record in VAT litigation and dispute resolution representing clients in Tribunal and Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as instructing barristers in leading VAT cases.

He is a chartered tax advisor and a member of the CIOT’s Dispute Resolution Group.

Sally Burford

Audit and Accounts Manager

Sally is a Chartered Certified Accountant with over 18 years’ experience in accounting and auditing, having worked at MHA MacIntyre Hudson Leicester office for 15 years after joining in 2005.

She is experienced dealing with Not for Profit audits, including those of Academies and Multi Academy Trusts, subsidiaries of overseas parent companies and owner manager businesses in a wide variety of sectors.

Stephanie Pote

Senior HR Consultant

Stephanie is an employee relations specialist, qualified as an Associate CIPD member since 1998, with 25 years’ HR experience, 17 of which are in consultancy.

Stephanie joined the HR Solutions team in August 2018 and has advised a range of our clients on areas such as changing terms and conditions, restructure and redundancy, absence and performance management, and disciplinary and grievance issues.  Previously, Stephanie has worked with clients to address organisation-wide absence problems, consultation on changes to benefits packages, and collective redundancy consultation.

Stephanie also works with start-up businesses to put compliant Employment Law documentation in place and can advise on Directors Service Agreements, Contracts for Services, Term Time Only or Annualised Hours Contracts or any other “atypical” Contracts, as well as Settlement Agreements.
