James qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and became partner in 2009.
James is head of the Healthcare sector at MHA MacIntyre Hudson and has a diverse portfolio in the healthcare sector comprising a range of GP Practices, Locum GP’s, Dentists, Hospital Consultants and other healthcare professionals.
He is also the nominated specialist for the Maidstone office’s membership of AISMA “The Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants” of which he also sits on the Board of Directors.
James spends an increasing amount of time presenting to the healthcare sector, including trainees, GP Practices (including advising those looking to join a Federation) and in hospitals, around the country.
Outside of his sector specialism James’ client base comprises of charities (including Academies) and regulated businesses alongside other various mainstream audit, accountancy and tax work.
James prides himself on getting to know his clients, looking past the numbers at their aspirations and family dynamics and recognises that tax efficiency needs to be weighed up with overall objectives.

James started with MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2009 where he completed his training and has worked his way up to Accounts Manager. James is a specialist in the Healthcare sector and assist his clients with a variety of services, including:
James qualified as a chartered accountant in 2014 and is a part of the ICAEW Healthcare Sector Group. He looks after a large number of GP practices and a wide variety of medical consultants mainly in the Kent and London, but works with clients both nationally and internationally too.
James is a Xero certified advisor and a certified QuickBooks Online advisor which he uses as part of his nominated Digital Solutions contact role for the firm.

Whilst Bob qualified in the audit department of a big four firm, he soon moved to their Corporation Tax Department, His move to MacIntyre Hudson in 1985 has rounded off his knowledge so that he is well versed in all aspects of tax. As well as advising clients on a consultancy basis, Bob is mainly involved in heading up tax training both in the firm and in our specialist training arm (www.mhasllp.com). He also spearheads the firm’s offering in training non financial managers and directors in understanding accounts (Financial Training Services) on all manner of transactions. Whilst he is deeply involved in training, he has appeared on national radio and television talking about IHT. Robert has a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders and personal tax clients to owner-managed groups of companies. Robert also has a particular interest in the not-for-profit sector. His clients include a number of large household name charities in Leicestershire and further afield, members' clubs and associations. Robert particularly enjoys the varied nature of this work and has gained wide experience advising clients in the sector over many years. In all of his client dealings Robert enjoys getting to grips with the detail and working closely with clients and their senior staff.
