Our specialist motor team provides up-to-date, accurate, concise and tailored advice, services and solutions to many UK dealer groups. Our specialists are trusted advisers to many motor dealer groups, supporting them on aspects of ECOS, PAYE, capital allowance and corporate finance.

  • Capital Allowances (CA): we have the UK’s leading motor CA specialist in our team maximising allowances on dealers’ historic and current property acquisitions and expenditures.
  • Transactional tax advice and exit planning: ensuring the right operational and entity structure for our clients, including their trading and property interests.
  • Shareholder wealth and inheritance tax planning: tax-efficient extraction of wealth for dealership owners.
  • Employment taxes and company cars: supporting you with issues such as car averaging, establishing employee car ownership schemes, worker status, and travel and subsistence.
  • VAT planning and compliance: working with you on cases of HMRC litigation, partial exemption, finance and insurance income, Motability, dealer discounts and other specific motor VAT issues

Steve Cosford

Healthcare Director

Steve has worked in the profession since 1988 and is a Healthcare Director, who leads a team specialising in servicing the accounting and business needs of general medical practitioners.

He works with GP Partnerships and GP Federation companies, along with other associated businesses including GP owned pharmacies and locum companies.

Steve has also recently been involved in the formation of a number of super partnership mergers.

Partner

Georgina joined the firm in 2008 and was promoted to Partner in 2009. She is both a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and registered Fixed Charge Receiver. She manages a number of distressed properties. Her main focus across all appointments is to provide the best possible return to charge-holders/ creditors. Her experience stretches across various sectors. Also within her portfolio are a large number of complex bankruptcies, numerous insolvent liquidations, solvent reconstructions and liquidations, CVAs and Administrations.

She is a member of R3, the IPA and NARA.

Colin O’Kane

HR Consultant

Colin has over 13 years’ experience in the HR field having worked in the Financial Services, Telecommunications, Retail and Airline sectors. He joined MHA Macintyre Hudson in June 2019 and is a HR Generalist qualified as an Associate CIPD member since 2004.

Colin advises a wide range of clients from across the firm on the entire spectrum of HR issues, from employment contracts and day to day people management issues including sickness, disciplinary and grievance issues to more complex projects such as redundancy exercises.
