Mike is a well known name amongst the professional community in Essex and beyond. Over 20 years’ experience has ranged from secondment to clients, dealing with day to day challenges, through to heading up our Corporate Finance team in London and the South East. He has been awarded the "CF" designation by the ICAEW recognising his M&A experience since 1995.

Mike’s reputation and client base extends beyond East Anglia to the South Coast and up to the Midlands. He is regularly recommended by other professionals and clients for his simple and straightforward advice led approach - which he believes greatly increases the ability to understand, deliver and succeed - and his extensive knowledge of many industry sectors including leisure and hospitality, manufacturing and logistics. He is frequently instructed by banks to act on their behalf when considering lending propositions.

Working with businesses of all sizes, Mike has a particular focus on entrepreneurial clients, with many planning for future acquisitions, exits, buy outs and finance raising, drawing on his extensive knowledge in this area. Mike is often asked to provide business valuations in connection with matrimonial disputes and corporate restructurings.

Away from the office Mike can usually be found watching a game of rugby, when not working on his house renovation project, or enjoying a few glasses of fine wine. Unfortunately all this has limited his ability to reduce his golfing handicap.

Stephen Poleykett

Stephen joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2009 following 15 years in the profession when he specialised in the audit of AIM and fully listed companies.  During that period he helped listed companies through the difficult transition from UK to International accounting practice. He also gained a wealth of experience advising owner-managed businesses, especially in the area of tax mitigation and profit extraction. 

At MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Stephen joined the International team and he deals mainly with the UK operations of overseas companies.  A typical week includes, international audits, helping foreign individuals and businesses plan their entry into UK markets, establishing UK legal entities and hand-holding clients through the maze of UK  legal and tax compliance.  With the option to call upon a range of specialist expertise within the firm, including HR, insurance and ex-patriot tax, Stephen helps our firm provide a one-stop show for new and mature international business. 

In his spare time Stephen enjoys keeping an eye on current affairs, having fun with his family and avoiding household chores.

Steve Tebbutt

Tax Director

Steve joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in 2007 and became Tax Director in 2017. Steve is comfortable advising clients of all sizes on corporate and personal tax matters, with his main focus being owner managed businesses with whom he works to provide bespoke tax planning solutions. In particular, Steve’s expertise covers mergers & demergers, acquisitions & MBOs, exit & remuneration planning. Steve has clients in a number of industries but some of his largest clients are in the construction and real estate industry where he has developed great experience.

Steve provides focused and clear tax advice that fits with his clients’ commercial objectives, and prides himself on providing great service and going the extra mile.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his young family, football, and keeping fit with running and the gym.

Yogan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and is a Partner here at MHA MacIntyre Hudson.

Yogan is very much a key part of his clients' teams. As well as having an advisory role he acts as a facilitator, enabling clients to clearly see through the obstacles that face them and find the solutions, rather than the more traditional provision of straightforward business advice. To give you time to answer the big questions, your business must be running smoothly, but for it to run smoothly time must be given to important issues. Yogan works with clients through the planning process and helps to turn ideas into actions.

In addition to advising owner-managed businesses on strategic matters and tax planning, he is fully involved in all aspects of a client's business which includes audit, accounts, tax compliance, recruitment etc.

Yogan has a wide range of clients, particularly in the Technology, Manufacturing and Property sectors, as well as in Fashion and Healthcare. His portfolio includes individual personal high net-worth tax clients, limited companies, limited liability partnerships and unincorporated businesses. He acts for both UK and international clients - notable territories include India, South East Asia, Middle East, USA and Cyprus. Yogan is also involved in fund raising, due diligence and the Reporting Accountant role.

Yogan is a Fellow of the ICAEW and a member of the ICAEW tax faculty and audit and assurance faculty. As one of the senior members of our International team Yogan travels widely meeting the needs of our clients wishing to do business overseas or set-up in the UK. He represents the firm in Middle East and Asia Pacific regions within Baker Tilly International and is responsible for the firm’s India desk.

Yogan also heads up Asia Pacific within MHA MacIntyre Husdon and travels to the Far East regularly and acts for clients from those areas establishing in UK giving them all support from advisory, tax structuring to compliance.
