Andy Doody

Senior Accounts Manager

Andy joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in January 2010 as a senior manager specialising in accountancy services for owner managed limited companies, partnerships and sole-traders. He oversees a team providing year end company accounts preparation, management accounts, bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns and any other services that ease the accounting burden on clients  allowing them to concentrate on running their business.

Andy has over 30 years experience within the accountancy profession having trained with a medium sized chartered accountancy firm in Birmingham, followed by roles within the big 4 to 2 partner firms, gaining a wealth of experience in all aspects of accounting for non audit clients, and working within sectors from manufacturing, property and legal. He also specialises in providing accountancy services for UK based subsidiaries of overseas entities operating from such countries as USA, Portugal and Netherlands.

Outside of work he enjoys foreign holidays, fine wine and decorating.

Adam Young

Head of Transport & Logistics, Partner

Adam is keenly focused on the success of the clients that he looks after and gives whatever input is required to help them reach their goals.

Operating from the "full service" Northampton office, he can build a team to support clients needs however diverse or demanding. With a client list growing by direct referral, he is always pleased to build fresh relationships.

His background is predominantly advising owner managers, but also acts for many foreign owned groups. His portfolio has broad sector coverage, including Transport, Engineering, Legal, many of which are fast growing.

Adam provides an outsourced accounting function for a growing number of his clients.

He lives locally to the office with his young family and likes to spend his spare time with family and friends, maybe supporting The Saints or England rugby.

Peter Cheney

Partner

Peter joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson in June 2015 following the merger with Kent based accountancy practice Spain Brothers & Co in Folkestone.

With over 35 years experience, Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974 and became a partner in 1982. His specialist services include Audit & Assurance and Outsourcing and he advises a number of clients within the Motor, property and construction sectors. Peter also works with clients within the medical profession and Not for Profit organisations.

Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time with his four children and grandchildren, playing golf and takes part in various cultural activities.

Hayley Benn

Business Services & Tax Manager

Hayley joined MacIntyre Hudson in 2015 following the merger of her previous firm. She has over 12 years’ experience working with predominately owner-managed businesses, dealing with accountancy and tax.

One of her specialties is in Business Tax Compliance and Advisory, which has developed from the variety of clients she works with.

Additionally, she is part of our Digital Solutions Team and is focused on how technology and, specifically, how cloud accounting can benefit each business, giving individual advice and assistance.

Hayley’s biggest passion lies in assisting clients to succeed, from strategic planning, to being at the end of the phone for support. She cares about her clients and believes providing the right advice and working together with a client is the key to success.

In her spare time Hayley enjoys running around after her two children, with camping trips and walks along the beach.
